A Singaporean Malay theatre practitioner, graduate of MA Actor Training & Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and former Resident Assistant Director at Singapore Repertory Theatre. Khairul has directed, written, produced and or designed theatre work since 2012 as a freelancer or independent across Singapore, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. His current PhD on scholarship at DeMontfort University conducted through practice as research aims to develop a methodological and theoretical framework towards the application of digital space interaction in the field of actor training and coaching. Khairul aspires to teach acting, continue to direct work and participate as a researcher in further developing the field of actor training and pedagogy.

Abstract
The research goal of this PhD inquiry aims to propose a theoretical and methodological framework, supported by documentation and written exegesis of practice as research experimental workshops, towards the application of digital space interaction in the field of actor training and coaching.
