Personal profile

Ali Orazgani is a Senior lecturer at De Montford University. His research focuses on macroeconomics. Formerly, he was a Research fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR). Ali has produced works on a number of macroeconomic issues, including the impact of extending working lives, migration, financial sector and global imbalances. He has undertaken work for the Department for Work and Pensions Department (DWP), the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and the European Commission (EC) and OECD.

Specialities: Macroeconomic analysis & Macroeconomic modelling, Forecasting, International economics & trade, and Financial sector analysis.

Research interests/expertise

Macroeconomics, applied economics, monetary policy, fiscal policy macro models, and financial markets.
