Dr Olabisi Daodu is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics, ÐßÐßÊÓƵ. Prior to her lectureship appointment at ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, Olabisi obtained a PhD in Accounting from Durham University, UK, a Master of Science (MSc)and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

In her capacity as a Chartered Accountant, Olabisi has worked in various engagements within the accountancy profession as a management accountant, corporate executive director and in consultancy service, in both the private and public sectors.

Olabisi's research interests are in the areas of accounting, accountability and management disciplines. Specifically, these research disciplines include, but are not limited to: Corporate governance; Management accounting, Financial management; Behavioural accounting; Auditing and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Olabisi is also a member of the ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Faculty of Business and Law (BAL) Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Olabisi co-initiated, co-organised and co-hosted the WoSTEG2020 (International Workshop on Secure and Trustworthy E-Governance), in partial execution of the STEGA project, held in both Nigeria and Zambia. The workshop fostered deliberations on e-governance among varied stakeholders from the public & private sectors, government parastatals, policy-making agencies and academia in the two countries. WoSTEG2020 was recognised for its notable contributions to Knowledge Exchange (KEF), which was particularly reported in the Zambia Times. 

In collaboration with other academics, Olabisi successfully secured a research grant towards the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) initiative. This funding was deployed to undertake STEGA project (Secure and Trustworthy E-Governance for enhanced and accessible public services in Africa).

STEGA (Secure and Trustworthy E-Governance for enhanced and accessible public services in Africa) is a multi-disciplinary project that aims to advance the state of e-Governance in Africa. It focuses on addressing long-standing problems of availability, coverage, policies and legislation, as well as emerging issues of security, privacy and trust, in relation to e-Governance.
