Sarah O’Neill worked for the Probation Service in Derbyshire for 17 years. She has experience as a Probation Officer and Senior Probation Officer in both offender management and Court settings. Sarah has also worked as a Practice Development Assessor and is an experienced trainer.

Sarah joined ÐßÐßÊÓƵ in June 2019 as a Senior Lecturer. She is involved with the delivery of the Probation Qualifications pathways, under a contract with the Ministry of Justice. This pathway provides a learning provision for students aspiring to become Probation Officers (levels 4 and 5), as well as students already embarked upon the qualification programme (level 6).

Sarah’s primary responsibility is module leader for the Risk of Serious Harm and Public Protection module (level 6). This module focuses upon the role of the Probation Officer in risk assessment and management.
