Personal profile

I was born in Ely, Cambridgeshire, and studied Engineering at Downing College, Cambridge, where I also completed a degree and provided my first teaching role. I moved to the University of Manchester in 2006 and ذكذكتسئµ, as Associate Professor and Subject Group Leader for Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, in 2020. I married Helen in Ely Cathedral in 1996 and have twin children, James and Lauren, born in 1999.
