Data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) demonstrate women are significantly underrepresented in senior roles as are those with disabilities. Hence being a woman and having a disability in academia can serve as a ‘double barrier’.
This panel event brings together women with disabilities in academia at different stages of their careers. They will reflect on their journeys; what support is available and what still needs to be done in academia to empower women with disabilities.
This event is a collaboration between ÐßÐßÊÓƵ, Royal Holloway University Gender Institute, Royal Holloway University Disabled Staff Network and the Women in Academia Support Network (WIASN).
This event is open to University staff, both internal and external.
Places can be booked up to 1 hour before the start of the event and registrants will receive a link to join the session two days before the event, via their provided email address.
Please contact the ÐßÐßÊÓƵ Events Office on eventsoffice@dmu.ac.uk if you have any questions.
