ذكذكتسئµ students past and present brought together in Berlin

ذكذكتسئµ (ذكذكتسئµ) Leicester students past and present were brought together during the #ذكذكتسئµglobal trip to Berlin.

The Berlin visit has seen already seen trips from a wide range of academic disciplines, and all of the groups came together for a photograph of hundreds of students and staff at the iconic Brandenburg Gate.

Bhaskar Pandya, studying for a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology, said: “The photo today was fantastic, when all the groups came together and became one group representing ذكذكتسئµ in front of this historic monument.

“This trip has been eye-opening and has built my awareness. Education should be holistic and cover different areas just like this.”

Arjun Mori, a Global MBA student, added: “It’s a great experience being with so many other students here today.”

The concept for the huge group photo was inspired by the impressive photo of ذكذكتسئµ students coming together in Times Square in New York earlier this year on the biggest #ذكذكتسئµglobal trip to date.

Later in the day an alumni question and answer session brought together current students and past students to give an insight in to future career possibilities and international work prospects.

Each member of the panel studied at ذكذكتسئµ and now lives and works in Berlin, giving them the perfect experience to advise current students who have travelled to Berlin.

Following student questions the alumni panel discussed the importance of work experience, how they find life in Berlin and what they think to the changes that may take place following Brexit.

Robyn Redmond, who graduated from Fashion Buying and Marketing last year and now works for Zalando, said: “ذكذكتسئµ directly helped me on a very straight path to where I wanted to be and where I am now. I always wanted to be a buyer and they helped me with my placement which was pretty much the making of me.”

Chris Raw, who also works at Zalando in Berlin, said: “ذكذكتسئµ did help me a lot in terms of preparing me for life in many ways and certainly Leicester as a city was a brilliant place to study, and also to learn and grow in my job.”

These events formed part of the latest #ذكذكتسئµglobal overseas event, bringing 800 students to Berlin to gain deeper knowledge of their subject areas and experience the culture and history of the city.
