The National Student Survey (NSS) is a nationally recognised annual survey of mostly final-year undergraduates in the UK. The survey provides students with an opportunity to give their honest opinions on what they liked about their time on their course at ذكذكتسئµ as well as things that they feel could have been improved.
The NSS is run by independent research company on behalf of the UK Higher Education Funding Bodies and Regulators, so responses always remain anonymous.
If you are eligible for the survey, Ipsos MORI will contact you soon after ذكذكتسئµ’s survey period opens on Monday 27 January to invite you to fill in the survey online. However, you can via a PC or mobile device at any time until Thursday 30 April 2020. It only takes about 10 minutes to fill it in.
Why should I take part?
• The NSS provides you with the opportunity to provide honest feedback on your student experience;
• Your feedback will be used to improve the student experience at ذكذكتسئµ;
• The results are taken very seriously and inform the quality assurance system with regards to teaching quality;
• Results are used by prospective students, their families and advisors to make decisions on what and where to study.

What happens with the results?
The NSS results are made publicly available to help prospective students, their families and advisors make informed decisions of where and what to study. Providers and supporting Students’ Unions also use the data to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses, and bring about change and enhancements to improve the learning experience for future generations of students.
Based on previous years’ results we have implemented changes such as:
- We created the #Healthyذكذكتسئµ hub, which is a website that provides information around support to aid your health and wellbeing
- Made IT improvements in the Library
- Improved access across a range of ADH’s specialist facilities
- New computer facilities in the Edith Murphy Building
- Continued to offer extended building hours for Queen’s Building, Gateway House, Bede Island and Courtyard Studios
- Added learning resources and improved Enhancement Weeks for BAL students
- We formed our Alumni Networks to help students and graduates stay up-to-date with the latest in their industry.
