What should I do in an emergency?

If you are at serious risk of harm or need life threatening emergency assistance during COVID-19 you should call emergency services now on 999, as you usually would.

Mental Health

If you need urgent support due to a mental health crisis call 999.

There are lots of resources online should you need support during this time. If you are living in Leicester you can find more information . If you are not currently in Leicester you can find out more .

The Healthy ذكذكتسئµ Hub also offers support and advice to students during this time. There are mindfulness videos for you to follow, masterclasses you can attend and external links to external support.

The also have some tips and advice on things you can do now to help you keep on top of your mental wellbeing and cope with how you may feel while staying at home.

Domestic Violence

If you are at risk of harm and need emergency assistance call 999 now. If you can’t speak to the operator you can find some advice on what you can do .

The government have confirmed that individuals can leave their accommodation if they are at risk of immediate harm or need urgent medical attention. Information about reporting and support options can be found .

The Mandala Project is able to offer advice to any ذكذكتسئµ student who has been affected by sexual violence, domestic violence or so called ‘honour’ abuse. Phone appointments are available 1-4pm weekdays (except bank holidays) email themandalaproject@dmu.ac.uk if you would like to arrange an appointment.

The ذكذكتسئµ Security team is available 24 hours a day, year-round on 0116 2577642.
