Tigers Foundation Round The World Challenge


The  is launching a Race Around The World Challenge to promote fitness and wellbeing while also linking with partner clubs across the globe.

The challenge involves any member of the #TigersFamily participating through their own exercise routines towards the club’s target of 24,901 miles / 40,075 kilometres alongside representatives from Global Partner Clubs at KL Tigers in Malaysia, Bangkok Lions in Thailand, Delhi Hurricanes in India, RC Diok from the Netherlands, Rugby Colorno in Italy and Belgium’s Dendermonde RFC.

Each club has its own Strava link to allow all participants to add their mileage and collectively find the first club to complete the distance and be crowned Tigers Foundation Round The World Challenge champions.

​​Whether you exercise by walking, running, cycling, rowing, or any form of distance-measured activity, you can join in and add your efforts to the Tigers total.

The challenge allows the #TigersFamily to engage and communicate with each other across the world, while also promoting exercise to stay fit and healthy whatever the circumstances we find ourselves in currently.

The Leicester Tigers Foundation, like many charities, has been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic, and is also looking to raise vital funds towards its work in social inclusion and education programmes which have been affected by costly Covid-related amendments and postponement of other fund-raising events.

If you want to help that work, you can  and any funds you raise will go directly into kickstarting the Foundation’s inclusion and education courses which offer young people fresh opportunities and qualifications, allowing them to progress into a far more positive future.

To get involved, just download the Strava app and search for the Leicester Tigers Foundation club page and then get moving.

Then look out for regular updates from Tigers on how the club and its partners are clocking up the miles.
