Do you want to become a champion for sustainability, making a difference at ذكذكتسئµ and in the wider community?
Sustainable ذكذكتسئµ is recruiting students to become Sustainability Advocates, which blends learning and volunteering with being part of a network of like-minded people.
Participants will get recognition to enhance their CV through a Digital Badge and on their HEAR certificate.
Working to address sustainability through ذكذكتسئµ could mean anything from helping to reducing waste, addressing gender inequality or working on innovative ways of doing business responsibly.
You must complete at least one learning session and five hours of contribution, and you will be supported to take part in whichever way fits best for your interests and availability.
As a Sustainability Advocate, you’ll be able to join short courses all about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, learn how to cut your carbon footprint and how to help spread the word to fellow students about small changes that could add up to a big impact.
You can also sign up for contribution activities such as being a Green Impact student ambassador, volunteering through ذكذكتسئµ Local or or applying for a seed grant to run a project or event at ذكذكتسئµ.
An online network is being created so advocates can plan and share ideas, projects and activities that will make a difference at ذكذكتسئµ.
Advocates will also be supported to hold ذكذكتسئµ to account on sustainability by feeding back on how it is addressed in your course, or in the running of the university.
Students who take part in at least one learning activity and one contribution activity, and submit a short reflection of their learning will receive an award and have it recognised on their HEAR certificate.
A celebration event to mark the achievements of all the advocates is planned at the end of the academic year.
